Daniel J. Pohlgeers, MBA, OTR, CHT
Dan Pohlgeers received his B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University in 1990. He became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2000. After 15 years of clinical and supervisory experience and having the opportunity to lecture and teach locally and at the national level, Dan began working on his MBA. He received his MBA from Milligan College in 2006. It was during this time that he began to modify his professional goals and became the administrator of a free standing orthopaedic hand therapy and surgery office in Johnson City, Tennessee.
In 2006 he became involved politically with a piece of legislation designed to halt the practice of silent PPO’s in workers’ compensation. In September of 2009, Governor, Phil Bredesen appointed Dan as a Healthcare Non-Voting Member to the Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council. In December of 2010, Speaker of the House Kent Williams elevated him to, one of the three, Employer - Voting Member positions on the Council.
